Park Avenue Carbon Fiber "Pocket Boom" – Original boom for our Tartan 3700.
Comes with integrated sail cover and two single line reefs.
Algripped white. The "E" dimension is 16'.
Lightly used for two seasons.

This boom makes mainsail handling a breeze. To set sail, just unzip the cover, tuck the cover into the boom and raise the main. To stow the main, just drop the sail and it will fall and flake automatically into the pocket boom. Then, just fold the integrated cover over it and zip it up. It takes only a minute to set and stow the main. Reefing is equally easy with the two single line reefs included in the boom. Currently in Marblehead, Massachusetts.

Retails for $13,000. Asking $7,500.

Yacht Swap - ???

Hello,

My name is Kevin Hansz, and I was cruising the net and found your website.
own a 1976 Tartan 34c hull #374, and keep her in Cheboygan, MI, on northern Lake Huron.
We are registered with the Tartan 34c owner's group.  Was curious if there may be any interest of doing an 'informal-yacht-swap' during this coming summer.

My boat, (beautifully restored and tenderly loved), is moored at Duncan Bay Marina in Cheboygan.
We are about a full-day sail away from the famous North Channel of Canada / Northern Lake Huron.
I would like to offer a week of 'caring/cautious/loving usage' of my boat during the summer months.... in exchange for 'caring/cautious/loving usage' of a nice boat in the Annapolis area during the Sailboat show this coming fall, (Oct 7-11, 2010).

Could you please let me know if there is any interest in this offer.  Also, please spread the word to those you may think are interested.

Thank you for your time.

 Kevin Hansz

For Sale

1979 Tartan 33 (Fractional rig, shoal draft)

We are eager to sell this classic Tartan 33. This Sloop is Very Attractive with Excellent Sailing Performance. She was designed by Sparkman & Stephens, who successfully combined the sailing performance with the cruising accommodations (sleeps 6-7) and shoal draft. Her interior is teak with a roomy cabin, 3 burner stove with oven, galley, v-berth, qtr berth, nav station, enclosed head, shower, storage, H/C pressure water, and much more.

We have invested in numerous upgrades. Most significantly, the boat has been re-powered with a 28 HP diesel engine. Also we had the decks re-cored and are now very solid.  Single handing the boat has been facilitated by leading all lines to the cockpit. This boat represents a fine opportunity to own a Tartan, long on tradition, functional design and fine workmanship.

This is a really nice boat and is sailed often. The boat is out of the water, the bottom has been sanded so all it need is paint. She also has a custom winter tarp/cover. She sails very well in all conditions and is very solid.  We purchased her in 2001 and had her surveyed.  Besides the newish motor, we redid all the rigging, had a custom plate made to run all lines back to the cockpit, had a boom vang made (holds up boom when sail comes down); lots of new blocks and lines; we replaced the lifelines and put in pelican hooks; had the shaft checked; new folding prop; had the chainplates removed and checked; and have added sails and more. As far as sailing, it in easily single or shorthanded with self tailing winches for the Genoa and can handle a breeze.  Please contact us for a full list of upgrades. If you are looking for a very nice boat, this is a must see.

We are keen in purchasing a larger boat but must sell this boat fist.

We have lots of pictures if you want to see more. Price is negotiable (Around $30K)
