The Not So Serious Race to Pirates Cove

Paul writes about this event (postponed a couple of times because of unfavorable weather), "We had a great sail Friday, no wind Saturday and a lot of wind on Sunday which made for a rough ride home. Still we had fun." Spoken in true CBTSC spirit!

St Michaels to Oxford Bike Ride

Cindy and Hal made wonderful arrangements for a cruise to St. Michaels, featuring a 20-mile round trip bicycle ride to Oxford and back via the Bellevue Ferry. Eleven sailors put on their bike duds and helmets for the ride in beautiful weather. We enjoyed lunch overlooking Town Creek at Capsize, the former Schooner's restaurant. In the evening we celebrated our accomplishment over dinner at Ava's Pizza and  Wine Bar. If only the headwinds that slowed the second leg of our bike trip had held out for the sail home on Sunday!

CBTSC in SpinSheet

Thanks to Paul, our Publicity Chair, for submitting a couple of great articles recently to SpinSheet. Check out the August issue for a photo from the Kids' Cruise and an article about T3500 Resolute in the Annapolis to Newport Race. In the November issue, see the article about the Labor Day event and the St. Michaels to Oxford bike trip.

Labor Day Event

Lauren and Soren organized a terrific weekend of activities on Rock Creek for Labor Day. We had a great crowd for crabs at Mike's on Saturday in spite of the rainy weather. Sunny skies greeted us Sunday for a relaxed lunch by the pool, scavenger hunt, cookout, and dancing to a DJ. Kudos to our cruise planners! See pictures in the Photo Album.
